About us

We were formally known as the Pacific Section, and the Pakeha Section alongside the Māori Section of the Nākū Enei Tamariki Incorporated Society, that was established in 1993 in Te Awakairangi (Hutt).

 

Just short of thirty years later, our new entity NET, was constituted on 1 July 2022.

 

NET continues to deliver Early Intervention and home visiting services like we have done since 1993 and the Family Start program since 2005, under our previous entity of Nākū Enei Tamariki Incorporated Society.

 

Our services are culturally responsive, and where appropriate, are strongly influenced by Pacific ethnic-specific models of care - to ensure we are meeting the needs of our community and our parenting programs and support groups are family focused, relational, and strengths based.

 

The programs we provide are complementary and are designed to support families/whanau/aiga/magafaoa/famili and tamariki/tamaikiiki/tamaiti/children.
